One of my favorite things to do is take my camera on the road, capture unique moments and see obscure places. I share my adventures and misadventures in this travel and photography journal to help you learn from my experiences. Time on the road goes by quickly, and you see a lot in a short period of time. When you return from an exotic locale, sometimes the pictures are all you have to remind yourself of the moment. Keep shooting!

Our trip to Switzerland was based around scenic train routes and we had to choose a pass, then figure out how it worked. It ended up being quite easy, but it was hard to figure out in advance on the Flex Pass website, so here’s how it worked step-by-step.

The historic city center and the riverfront were undamaged in the 1755 Earthquake. Due to that good fortune, Porto retains the authenticity of an ancient trading city. The roads are narrow and winding, wrapping around churches and buildings added through the centuries.
