Entertaining

In addition to photography, I love travel, big dogs (and Ozzie, who is big in personality), cooking, design, and entertaining. We are in Jupiter most of the time and in Maine during the summer and fall. Additionally, there have been some big trips! This section is a work in progress and I will be adding to it through the holidays.

it's all about the food

It’s all about the food ~ always. So, I have a collection of recipes that are crowd-pleasers. Mostly, they are very simple, but sometimes I want to do something more complicated and artistic. I love to bring a charcuterie board to a party. The one I brought to Thanksgiving was a big hit, and other guests were taking photos of it.

party time

We have recently gotten back to our pre-covid social habits, which means lots of gatherings and parties. There is a constant stream of people coming through, especially during the holidays, mostly without notice, so that requires flexibility. I will share my meal and party planning lists for shopping and stocking a bar.

We occasionally have larger parties, and this year, we have a wedding! Watch me prepare the house and see the end result in March.

design

I spend most of my time in Jupiter, which has a coastal living vibe. In contrast, in Maine, we have a family cottage and a red, white, and blue theme. It is our summer place, and our traditions revolve around hiking and lobster rolls. However, there is a color palette, design vision, and project list for both homes that I will share here.

My daughter, Jamie, a very talented designer, helped me recreate the dining room in Jupiter, and we are all very excited about decorating for the holidays.

Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce

What can be better than homemade hot fudge? It is easy and tastes great over ice cream, brownies, and our favorite flourless chocolate cake. And the best part? It stays good in the fridge for weeks, if it lasts that long.
