Sporting Dogs

Retrieving is the greatest joy for these enthusiastic athletes. My job is to capture the action without disrupting the competition. I’ve been taking pictures for many years and have the skills and the eye to get the perfect image of your dog.

Private Sessions

At an event, the conditions are not entirely within my control. The weather, timing, and lighting are things that might not be ideal. Private sessions allow us to set up the shots in perfect lighting and do it as many times as it takes to get what we need.

Types of Photos

Running Water

Posing with the Duck

Water Retrieve

Handler

Jumping

Land Retrieve

Portraits

Sample Galleries

See what to expect from an event. I photograph as many dogs as possible, hopefully in multiple tests. My goal is to get 10-12 shots per dog, but usually, there are more, occasionally less.

Why hunting dogs?

Dog Gone Photo grew from my mother’s love of her dogs. She is a member of the Tallahassee HRC (Hunting and Retrieving Club), and if I want to spend time with her, I need to do it in the field. As fun as throwing ducks can be, my strength is taking the perfect picture as the dogs return to the line. I love my new friends who are now clients.
