The historic city center of Porto is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Fortunately, the riverfront community was undamaged in the 1755 Earthquake, and Porto retains the authenticity of an ancient trading city. The roads are narrow and winding, wrapping around churches and buildings added through the centuries.

Taking photographs is a huge part of my travel day. Naturally, I use my phone to document the experience, but I also have the professional gear to get images suitable for framing.
In March of 2022, I visited Portugal for the first time. My sister’s best friend has relocated to Lisbon, and we were there to celebrate her birthday and see the country. We made a few day trips from Lisbon before heading to Porto. I was particularly taken with the tile work and mosaic sidewalks. March is a perfect time to visit! Enjoy my Portugal Collection.
Portugal is full of old-world charm with palaces, cathedrals, and Moorish ruins. The winding streets are lined with limestone sidewalks with intricate stone mosaic patterns (or calçada) and dotted with buildings covered in blue tiles (or ajules).

The Convent of Christ is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an easy day trip from Lisbon. It is an enormous complex with a lot going on historically and architecturally, starting with the Knights of the Templar in 1160 and evolving through the next five centuries.
